Mario Oakland based writer/actor/painter/teacher

Mario Gonzales is an Oakland based artist from Colorado. He locally reads, writes, paints, teaches, make zines/comics/stickers, and does theatre. He has worked as a youth theatre instructor with Ragged Wing Ensemble, The East Bay Center for Performing Arts, as well as Each One Reach One, a Playwriting program committed to inspiring creativity within incarcerated Bay Area youth. He’s also a coffee kid @ “Duende” in downtown Oakland. He finds inspiration from the general human condition, both highs and lows,children’s books, comic books/zines, trash, discarded furniture, as well as street art and vandalism alike.
